The Matrix is a compact hatchback with dynamic stylings. Its twin, the Pontiac Vibe, will not be released in 2011. This Toyota shares its platform and drivetrain with the Corolla. A 1.8-litre engine comes as standard equipment in the base models, while the XR, XRS and AWD come with a 158-hp 2.4-litre four-cylinder unit. All offer manual or automatic transmissions except the AWD model, which is only available as an automatic.
