The Grand Highlander appeals to large families thanks to its generous interior space. In fact, the third row is roomy enough to accommodate even adults. This midsize SUV is available with three powertrain options including two hybrids. The first one uses a 2.5-litre engine and is rated at 7 L/100 km. The second gets a turbocharged 2.4-litre unit and achieves 8.8 L/100 km. Though quite expensive, it increases maximum towing capacity to 5,000 lbs.
