The latest Corolla has seen its appearance updated, but it still has the same platform and mechanical organs as before. This means the 1.8-litre mill is still on the job, even though the automatic gearbox was replaced by a CVT (there’s also a 6-speed manual available, as well as a 4-speed automatic in the Corolla CE).
