Chevrolet Volt
Initially launched in 2011 and completely revised last year, this extended-range electric car returns practically unchanged for 2017. Thus, it keeps the same electric propulsion system whose 85-km range should be sufficient for normal everyday use. And if the battery's energy is depleted, a 1.5L combustion engine is there as an on-board generator to replenish the battery pack. In addition to being environmentally friendly, this car handles surprisingly well.
