Chevrolet Volt
The brand's extended-range EV gets a total redesign, with an improved powertrain, enhanced comfort and a new style. The Volt's electric drive unit is lighter and more efficient than before, while the range-extending engine is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder unit that can now run on unleaded fuel. The car’s battery pack has a greater capacity too, and EV range has risen to an estimated 80 km before the gasoline engine kicks in to regenerate energy in the batteries.
