Stealing a page from the old El Camino’s book, the Chevrolet Avalanche has an integrated cargo box. Its engine, a 5.3L V8 that develops 320 hp, is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via a very solid 4x4 system. Among this pickup’s special features are the Midgate System, which allows the rear section of the cabin to fold flat for transporting large objects.
