Hyundai ix20 MPV : Images from Great Britain

Until now, all we were given to see was a sketch announcing the unveiling of the Hyundai ix20 at the Mondial de Paris. But, thanks to certain indiscretions from the British branch of this constructor, we have a chance to see the true look of the ix20 model.

For many Europeans, this Hyundai model is a version of the Kia Venga which appeared on the European market last year. Indeed, one cannot say that they are entirely wrong.

Its five door hatchback type silhouette is very attractive and meets a new standard in this bustling niche market. It thus possesses all the necessary attributes to compete with such vehicles as the Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta, Mazda2 and Toyota Yaris in North America.

We must mention that this beautiful silhouette is a creation of the famous Italian coachbuilder by the name of Pininfarina and that it proudly shows a new hexagonal front grille representing the brand.

Mechanically, it is offered with European type grid characteristics with fuel and diesel motorizations.

The 2011Hyundai Accent Hatchback?

At this point, I allow myself an extrapolation by imagining that this vehicle will become the future Hyundai Accent five-door hatchback in North America that would complement the four-door sedan.

Moreover, it appears that the next 2011 Hyundai Accent will be offered in the four-door sedan and five-door hatchback versions. This means the three-door hatchback model would be removed from the catalogue.
