Brabus Turns Lamborghini Urus Into Mint-Coloured Monster With 888 Hp

Boston's Fenway Park is well known for its green monster, and now Brabus has its own. The world-famous German tuner, which successfully pushes the car tuning envelope while remaining tasteful (well, most of the time), has just revealed its first-ever Lamborghini-based supercar.

The new Brabus 900 MINT turns the Urus SE high-performance Italian SUV into a custom 888-horsepower machine with an exterior and interior finished in the exclusive Brabus “Mint” signature colour.

The monochromatic treatment offers a unique contrast to the flamboyant, two-tone designs often seen on exotic sports cars. The 24-inch, ten-spoke Brabus Monoblock Z Platinum Edition forged wheels complement the new carbon fibre body panels. These include the fender flares, lower-body aero kit, redesigned front fascia and rear diffuser with vertical fins.

Brabus says the large air intakes accentuate the width of the SUV while directing airflow more efficiently to the cooling systems and front brakes. The integrated carbon front spoiler not only further sharpens the look but also increases downforce.

These changes are a good thing because the 900 MINT is much more powerful and faster than the Urus SE. While retaining the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 hybrid system and leaving the electric motor unchanged, the team fitted a Brabus PowerXtra LG40-900 performance upgrade that boosts output from 789 to 888 horsepower and torque from 701 to 774 lb-ft.

This is enough to cut the 0-100 km/h acceleration time from 3.4 to 3.2 seconds, although top speed is still 312 km/h. The wheels are fitted with high-performance tires (295/30ZR24 front, 345/25ZR24 rear) offering more grip than the stock ones and connected to a bespoke Brabus SportXtra suspension that lowers ride height by up to 20 mm, giving the vehicle more agility in sharp cornering maneuvers.

As for the cabin, as we mentioned earlier, mint is the dominant colour here as well, appearing on everything from the seats and dashboard to the steering wheel, doors and flooring. It's definitely brighter in there than in the Urus SE, but occupants might get sick of it after a while. Wouldn't you? At least there's a bit of exposed carbon fibre and aluminum trim here and there.

A signature Brabus hallmark is the “Ellipse” quilting pattern. It extends across the seat surfaces, footwells and cargo area, the last one complete with a matching leather travel bag.

We hear the Brabus 900 MINT costs around $700,000 USD, or the equivalent of $957,000 CAD. That makes sense for such an extreme and exclusive product. Oh, and for customers who would prefer a similar build in nothing but black, Brabus also offers the 900 Superblack.
