2011 Mini Lineup Gets Facelift

While the world waits for the official introductions of the various Mini specials we’ve all been looking forward to (the Countryman and Speedster come to mind), Mini’s stylists have quietly been toiling away on a few updates intended to bring the diminutive hot hatch into the next decade with style.

Most notably, Cooper S models all benefit from a pair of prominent chrome-ringed ducts inside the grill that, while being only marginally more useful than the previous grillwork was, definitely add a little punch to the Mini’s cutesy face. Out back, standard LED lighting replaced the previous model’s overly bright taillights, while optional extras now include such features as black headlight reflector housings, new wheels, and of course, a myriad of new paint schemes.

Inside, the biggest and best change comes in the form of a revised speedometer face that now incorporates a significantly larger screen capable of displaying content from attached USB accessories including video from your iPod or cover flow playlist manipulation.
