$10,000 and More: Year-End Deals You Don’t Want to Miss
During the holiday season, many Canadians take advantage of the break to rest, recharge and spend time with family or loved ones. For others, the final days of 2025 are also synonymous with car shopping.
And that works out nicely, because the automotive industry is being disrupted from all sides these days and some models are being advertised with staggering discounts. We’ve identified several of these vehicles which, in some cases, offer savings equivalent to the price of an almost-new subcompact car.

We are a far cry from the bidding wars of just a few years ago, and this list clearly confirms that interest in electric vehicles is waning. Naturally, we’re proceeding in reverse order—just to save the best for last.
$10,000 off the 2026 BMW X7 xDrive40i, 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV and 2025 Chevrolet Corvette

Tied for tenth place, these three road-going behemoths—and one American sports car—are all currently being sold with a $10,000 discount. The presence of the BMW X7 is surprising, but for several months now, the luxury segment has been facing an increasingly cautious clientele. GM’s two electric vehicles, the Cadillac Escalade IQ and the Chevrolet Silverado EV, follow the same pattern, as both carry a hefty MSRP. This is particularly concerning in the case of the former, which has barely just been launched.
As for the Chevrolet Corvette, it’s equally surprising to see this icon discounted so heavily, but current market conditions aren’t helping, and Chevrolet clearly wants to move remaining inventory before turning the page to 2026.

$11,000 off the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning and Jeep Gladiator Mojave

Following recent announcements regarding the cancelation of the F-150 Lightning—or rather its transformation into an extended-range pickup—it’s no surprise to see such a discount applied to an electric truck that never truly convinced traditional pickup buyers. Expensive and limited to a single body style, the electric F-150 was never able to replicate the sales success of the gas-powered F-150.
Over at Jeep, another pickup is also benefiting from a substantial discount. This one is very specific, however, as only the Gladiator Mojave is reduced to this extent. For off-road enthusiasts, though, this could be the long-awaited deal.

$12,250 off the 2025 Ram 1500

Still within the Stellantis empire, another pickup is currently being heavily discounted—but only the more upscale models. The Ram 1500 Laramie, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten and RHO are all eligible for this substantial financial incentive. It’s safe to assume the return of the Hemi V8 in 2026 will help the truck regain popularity in terms of sales. The aforementioned models are all powered by a twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine.

$13,000 off the 2024 Acura ZDX

Acura’s first foray into the electric arena was built on the Ultium platform. More specifically, Acura’s midsize crossover was assembled alongside the Cadillac Lyriq—a model considered more technologically advanced and offering a broader range of models. That’s why Acura’s EV adventure lasted just a single model year: 2024. It’s worth remembering that the original ZDX, launched in the late 2000s, was also pulled from the lineup rather quickly—although in that case, it was arguably ahead of its time.

$14,000 off the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E

While the $11,000 discount applied to the F-150 Lightning is generous enough, the one attached to the 2025 Mustang Mach-E is even more sizable. For anyone still doubting the massive impact of government incentives on EV adoption, this is yet another irrefutable example of how losing them has hurt manufacturers that dove headfirst into the electric arena.

$16,000 off the VinFast VF 9

Newcomer VinFast may be at risk of being pushed out of the North American market. Construction of its U.S. plant is currently on hold, further undermining North American operations for this young Vietnamese automaker that has bet everything on electrification. Its largest crossover, the VF 9, is heavily discounted right now, but it would take a brave soul to predict VinFast’s fate over the next twelve months.
This offer ends December 31, 2025.
$20,000 off a 2025 Polestar 3

The assembly location of this attractive electric crossover is hurting the Swedish brand badly. You see, the Polestar 3 is built in the U.S. alongside the Volvo EX90, a model that has just been cancelled for 2026 in Canada. The Polestar 3 is genuinely fun to drive, but—as with VinFast—Polestar’s future appears directly tied to the policies of the Trump administration. What’s more, unlike Volvo, which is backtracking on its all-electric ambitions, Polestar has fully committed to being an electric-only car company. Will that decision come back to haunt it?
This offer ends January 2, 2026, and applies only to buyers paying cash or arranging their own financing.
$21,000 off a 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz

The ID. Buzz is a puzzling story. This retro-inspired electric van puts a smile on many faces—right up until the price tag is mentioned. In its most affordable trim, the ID. Buzz carries an MSRP of $77,495. Once all fees are applied, and factoring in this $21,000 discount, the price drops just under the $60,000 mark. Taxes must still be added, and it’s worth noting that this outsized rebate applies only to customers who pay cash. By the way, Volkswagen has just confirmed that there will be no 2026 model in Canada due to existing inventory levels, but the company plans to accelerate the launch of the 2027 model.
