Find the Odd One Out: Camry, Accord, Sonata or Altima?
The answer to the question above could be any one of these four cars. For example, the Toyota Camry is the only one that is exclusively hybrid, while the Honda Accord is the only one that doesn't offer all-wheel drive. The Hyundai Sonata? Well, it's the only non-Japanese car.
The best answer, though, is the Nissan Altima. Why? Simply because it’s the only one that won't be back in Canada in 2026—although it will continue its run south of the border.

A spokesperson for Nissan Canada told us the company is busy "refreshing its product lineup with the intention of introducing new or updated models as well as electrified powertrains," which is why it’s removing the Altima from the lineup. The midsize sedan will therefore join the Versa subcompact sedan, which will also not be returning in 2026, as we reported in early November. The same goes for the Kicks Play crossover.

Based on sales figures after the first three quarters of 2025, the Altima (1,123 units, unchanged from 2024) represented only 1.3% of Nissan's volume in Canada. It was also the least popular car in the segment, behind the Hyundai Sonata in third place (2,015 units).
Following its departure, only four midsize sedans will remain on the Canadian market in 2026: the Sonata, Accord, Camry and Toyota Crown. In case you forgot, the Kia K5 and Subaru Legacy were discontinued after 2024.
“With the launch of attractive models such as the all-new Sentra, LEAF and Rogue PHEV, we reaffirm our commitment to offering a lineup that meets the evolving needs of customers while maintaining our competitive advantage,” Nissan Canada said.

On that note, come back on January 1 for a compilation of every car, truck and SUV not returning in 2026.
