Top 10 Most Expensive Cars Sold on Bring a Trailer in 2025
A number of cars—old and new—sold for astronomical prices at auctions and online in 2025. For example, during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in Las Vegas, a highly exclusive Gordon Murray S1 LM (one of only five ever made) was sold for $20.63 million USD, equivalent to $29.1 million CAD, breaking the record for a new vehicle at auction.

10. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder – $2.3 million USD

This 2015 918 Spyder is number 714 of 918 examples built. It is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 that works in conjunction with dual electric motors that drive all four wheels through a seven-speed PDK automatic transaxle. The car is finished in Dark Blue Metallic over Onyx Black leather with Acid Green accents.
9. 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS – $2.375 million USD

This 1964 904 Carrera GTS is one of just over 100 examples of Porsche’s first fiberglass-bodied sports racing car produced during two years of production to homologate the model for FIA Group 3 competition. After finishing fifth in its class at the 1965 2000km Daytona, the car contested the 1965 12 Hours of Sebring and the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona, retiring early from both of the latter. It is said to have subsequently undergone a refurbishment by marque specialist Kevin Jeanette that included a repaint in its original shade of Signal Red. Power is provided by a replacement 2.0-litre four-cam flat-four engine.
8. 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing – $2.4 million USD

This 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL is one of 1,400 Gullwing coupes built during a three-year production run and was completed on June 30, 1955, with options including Rudge knock-off wheels. The car underwent a cosmetic refurbishment from 2011-2012 that included a repaint in the factory shade of Graphite Gray and an interior re-trim in factory-specified red leather. It then spent nine years with a Texas collector before being sold in 2023 to a New York collector who commissioned a mechanical refresh that included an overhaul of the 3.0-litre M198 inline-six engine.
7. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach – $2.61 million USD

This 2015 918 Spyder is number 821 of 918 examples built and is the only one finished in a black foil Salzburg livery with black wheels and Onyx Black leather interior upholstery with Acid Green accents. Ordered new with the Weissach Package, it remained with one registered private owner in New York before being relocated to Illinois. Power is supplied by a 4.6-litre V8 that works in conjunction with dual electric motors that drive all four wheels through a seven-speed PDK automatic transaxle.
6. 1989 Porsche 911 DLS by Singer – $2.8 million USD

This 1989 911 Carrera is one of 75 units modified by Singer Vehicle Design in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering. The “Paradise” build was completed in July 2021, and the car has since covered 1,200 miles (1,930 km). Featuring a carbon fibre body finished in Albert Blue Pearl with ghosted side stripes, the car is powered by a Williams-built 4.0L flat-six. Inside, Recaro carbon fibre seats trimmed in black leather with woven houndstooth inserts are accompanied by a roll cage.
5. 2018 Bugatti Chiron – $2.85 million USD

This 2018 Chiron is one of 500 examples of all types produced between 2016 and 2023, and it was formerly owned by two-time undisputed super middleweight boxing champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. The car is finished in Atlantic Blue and French Blue, and the 1,479 horsepower come from a quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16. There are carbon-ceramic brakes with French Blue-painted calipers, staggered-width Caractere wheels with Atlantic Blue accents, and a rear wing with a French Blue underside. Inside, the carbon fibre Comfort seats are trimmed in Lake Blue and French Racing Blue leather.
4. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach – $2.9 million USD

This 2015 918 Spyder is number 732 of 918 examples built and was ordered with the Weissach Package before being delivered new. Indicating 180 miles (290 km), the car is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 working in conjunction with dual electric motors that drive all four wheels through a seven-speed PDK automatic transaxle, and it is finished in Oryx White over Mocha Brown leather with silver accents.
3. 1991 Porsche 911 DLS by Singer – $3 million USD

This 1991 911 Carrera is the 73rd of 75 units modified by Singer Vehicle Design in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering. The car has logged—wait for it—a mere 18 miles (29 km). Can you believe it? The carbon fibre body is finished in Fluid Silver, and power is supplied by a Williams-built 4.0L flat-six.
2. 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport – $3.185 million USD

This 2019 Chiron is one of approximately 60 Sport examples produced. It reportedly participated in Bugatti’s “400 Drive” event at Cape Canaveral, Florida, in 2023, where it was driven to 398 km/h on the Space Force Station Skid Strip. It was later displayed at ModaMiami in 2025 and has remained with one owner until it was purchased by the selling dealer this year. The optional exposed carbon fibre body is finished in Black Carbon with French Racing Blue accents, and the 1,479 horsepower come from a quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16.
1. 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari – $4.475 million USD

This 2014 LaFerrari is one of 499 coupes built between 2013 and 2016 and is said to be one of just three finished in Blu Elettrico and the sole U.S.-market example to carry the colour. Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V12 and a KERS-derived electric motor that combined for a factory-rated output of 950 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The car has 3,262 miles (5,250 km).
