Toyota Announces Two Dozen Builds for SEMA, Starting With These Two
The 2025 SEMA Show (November 4-7) at the Las Vegas Convention Center is fast approaching. Once again, Toyota will be one of the stars. In fact, the Japanese automaker plans to show more than two dozen concept builds under the theme, Powered by Possibility.
Two of them have already been announced, but they’re not what many would have expected. Take a look below.

Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition
Who on Earth wants a Corolla Cross for off-roading or overlanding? Probably almost no one, but that didn’t stop Toyota from designing one specifically for that kind of thing. The Nasu concept is inspired by the mountain of the same name in Japan, famous for hiking, hot springs and adventure.
In addition to custom Toyota truck wheels and Toyo Open Country A/T III all-terrain tires, this Corolla Cross Hybrid gets a custom-made suspension lift, modified Toyota lightbars and fog lamps, flared fenders and front tow hooks. The unique hood scoop? That’s just for show.
A custom wrap in a striking purple hue nods to another meaning of nasu in Japanese, “eggplant.” Up on the roof, the crossbars accommodate a cargo rack to carry all the equipment that doesn't fit in the trunk (where Toyota has installed a custom drawer system and a small fridge on a sliding tray) as well as a bicycle rack.
Camry GT-S
The more realistic Camry GT-S concept suggests an evolution of the midsize sedan in sporty XSE trim, something that might appeal to fans of the late Camry TRD—with a hybrid system in place of the V6, of course. The idea was to create a racier take on the Camry that looks like it could roll straight from a dealership floor into a customer’s garage.
The 232-hp powertrain remains unchanged. The same goes for the car's interior, or almost. However, the body stands out with a special finish called "Inferno Flare" that contrasts with the numerous black accents, from the roof to the custom lower body kit, not to mention the rear trunklid spoiler and the diffuser that integrates the performance exhaust outlets.
The 20-inch black wheels are shod with 245/35R20 performance tires, while the brakes use massive 8-piston calipers squeezing 365mm front rotors and 6-piston calipers matched with 356mm rear rotors. At each corner, adjustable coilovers lower the chassis by 1.5 inches (about 40 mm) for a more aggressive stance and improving handling.
“The Camry GT-S Concept is more than just a SEMA one-off—it’s a study in what a performance and style package could mean for Camry in the future,” said Adam Rabinowitz, chief designer at Toyota CALTY Design Research in Ann Arbor, Michigan. “Our goal was to create something aspirational yet attainable, and to use this platform to gather valuable feedback from consumers.”
