Top 10 Best-Selling Vehicles in Canada, First Half of 2025

As we reported last week, new vehicle sales in Canada increased by 6.4 percent in the second quarter and by 4.3 percent during the first half of 2025 compared to the previous year, according to figures compiled by Automotive News Research & Data Center.

A total of 958,442 vehicles were sold from coast to coast between January and June inclusively. And you probably won't be surprised to learn that pickup trucks, SUVs and vans grabbed an overwhelming market share of 86.6 percent, exactly as they did at the end of 2024.

General Motors led all automakers with 157,671 units sold in the first six months of 2025. Ford, which only posts annual results, was second with an estimated 127,983 vehicles, while Toyota rounded out the podium with 124,181 vehicles.

Now, what about the best-selling models in Canada? The decline of Ram trucks continued, while the popular Hyundai Kona and Subaru Crosstrek just missed the top 10, which is made up as follows:
