2026 Honda HR-V Gets New Wheels, Larger Screen and Little Else
Initially launched as a 2023 model, the second-generation Honda HR-V should have received a proper mid-cycle update for 2026. However, the changes announced today by the automaker are fairly minor.
Outside, the Japanese subcompact SUV sports tinted rear windows and new wheels on all models, including Pewter Gray 17-inch alloys on the base LX. Other models rock 18-inch wheels. The HR-V Sport now comes with gloss black liftgate badging and two exclusive new paint colours including Solar Reflection Silver Metallic and Racing Blue Pearl.

The biggest improvement for most customers will undoubtedly be the touchscreen on LX and Sport models, which increases from 7 to 9 inches in size (matching the top-of-the-line EX-L) and uses a faster processor. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a wireless phone charger are now all included as standard.
Finally, the most expensive model gets silver steering wheel spokes, dynamic climate control knob lighting and new front footwell lighting.
That’s pretty much it. What about prices? They’ve gone up some $800 in most cases and $1,200 in Sport trim. The base 2026 HR-V LX FWD starts at $33,436 (all fees included). Adding AWD bumps it to $35,736.
The HR-V Sport and EX-L now cost $39,036 and $41,836, respectively, which is a lot of money considering both are stuck with an engine that produces no more than 158 horsepower. You’ll continue to get more bang for your buck from competitors such as the Subaru Crosstrek, Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-30 or Volkswagen Taos.
