Honda, Acura EV Owners to Gain Access to Tesla’s Superchargers This Summer
Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX owners will gain access to more than 25,000 selected Tesla Superchargers in Canada and the U.S. by this fall with the availability of the first Honda-approved NACS-to-CCS DC fast-charging adapter.
The adapter will also be compatible with future DC fast chargers equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS).

“A key consideration for EV buyers is stress-free connectivity to charging networks and infrastructure,” said Hayato Mori, Assistant Vice President of Business Development and Customer Engagement. “Offering Canadian Honda and Acura EV customers access to the Tesla Supercharger network, in addition to EV charging networks already available, will make their decision to purchase an EV easier.”
The adapter will go on sale through authorized Honda and Acura dealers in Canada. Pricing is set at $400, which is more expensive than similar adapters from General Motors, Nissan and Volvo/Polestar, which cost $310.
Prologue and ZDX owners will be notified via the HondaLink and Acura EV apps when adapters are available to purchase. They will also be able to use the apps to locate authorized Supercharger locations.
The automaker warns owners that damage caused by using unapproved adapters may not be covered by the vehicles’ limited warranties.
By 2030, if all goes according to current plans, Honda and Acura EV owners will have access to approximately 100,000 DC fast-charging points across North America, including Tesla Superchargers and the all-new IONNA network that Honda and seven other leading automakers are working to implement.
