2025 Porsche Panamera Adds Two New Hybrid Models

You didn’t think the third-generation Porsche Panamera unveiled late last year would be limited to the Panamera 4 and Turbo E-Hybrid models, did you? Here are two more, namely the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid, with a fourth hybrid also set to join the lineup at a later date.
Let’s start with the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, which features a significantly revamped, twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 in order to generate more powerful acceleration. The system’s output of 463 hp and 476 lb-ft of torque enables 0-100 km/h sprints in 4.1 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid puts an even greater emphasis on driving dynamics, using the same twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 but cranking out a total of 536 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. As a result, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

Faster Charging, Too

All new Panamera E-Hybrid models offer a higher charging speed and a battery with 45 percent more capacity (25.9 kWh gross) than their predecessors. At the same time, the 11kW onboard AC charger can reduce the charging time to as little as 2.5 hours in ideal conditions.

Another highlight is an energy recuperation potential of up to 88 kW when braking. Porsche says pure electric range is improved but does not provide any numbers yet. Incidentally, in Sport and Sport Plus modes, the automaker has reduced the target state of charge of the battery to 20 and 30 percent, respectively (previously 30 and 80 percent), which increases efficiency without sacrificing performance.

Loaded With Tech

Porsche equips all variants of the new Panamera with an adaptive two-chamber air suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with two-valve dampers as standard. The innovative Porsche Active Ride active suspension is also available, combining optimized traction and cornering performance with a high level of comfort, the company claims.

Standard equipment on the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid includes 19-inch wheels, black brake calipers and matrix LED headlights. The high-resolution HD matrix LED lighting system is available as an option. The more upscale and sportier Panamera 4S E-Hybrid is distinguished by 20-inch AeroDesign wheels, silver Sport tailpipes and red brake calipers (with 10 pistons up front). Brake calipers in Acid Green and Black are optionally available.

The 2025 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera 4S E-Hybrid will be available to order as early as March of this year. In Canada, the former starts at $129,800, while the latter costs $148,900. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fall.
