In the full-size SUV segment, the Ford Expedition stands out this year and grabs first place. Its twin-turbo V6 engine develops 375 horsepower in XLT and Limited trim levels, and 400 in the range-topping Platinum. It’s the most fuel-efficient model in its class with a combined city/highway rating as low as 12.5 L/100 km, the one that boasts the best towing capacity at 4,173 kilograms (9,200 lbs.) and the one with the most refined ride.

The Expedition is also one of the most spacious, especially in the case of the long-wheelbase MAX version, while both variants can seat up to eight passengers. Its feature list is complete, including a 4x4 system, and the Platinum flaunts a touch of luxury without going overboard. Equipped with a 4x4 system, the Armada can also tow a very heavy load and its list of advanced safety features is comprehensive.
