The Mighty AM-RB 001 Hits the Stage in Toronto

Joining the already impressive list of vehicles announced at this year’s Toronto Auto Show is the Aston Martin Advanced Technologies concept hypercar, the AM-RB 001. Presented by the brand’s CEO Andy Palmer, the AM-RB 001 was initially unveiled last summer in England, but it’s the first time the car will be on display during an auto show. And that’s happening in Canada.

This collaboration with Aston Martin and the Red Bull F1 team is said to be “an unprecedented fusion of form and function,” and will be designed to feel just as home on a racetrack than on public roads. Right now, the company has stated that the AM-RB 001 will be equipped with a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated V12 engine of undisclosed displacement as well as a brand-new transmission.

The car was conceived to be extremely light and aerodynamic, and should obviously deliver tremendous performance. Between 99 and 150 units of the Aston Martin AM-RB 001 will be produced, in addition to 25 track-only versions, and they will start arriving at their new owners’ houses in 2018.
