Jaguar Unveils the 2014 XJR Sport Sedan in New York

British automaker Jaguar is looking to make waves at the New York Auto Show with its 2014 XJR sport sedan.

In the eyes of its creators, this vehicle is the brand’s “dynamic flagship” sedan.

At Jaguar, any car that proudly bears the letter “R” is a sedan or coupe with an exceptionally sporty personality, much like the AMG denomination at Mercedes-Benz or the M Sport badge at BMW.

This high luxury speedster sets itself apart with:

  • Black grille featuring a red emblem
  • More stylized front bumper
  • Larger air intake
  • Five-spoke alloy wheels
  • Red brake calipers

The most powerful engine

Under the hood, they’ve used the same powerful engines found in the Jaguar XFR-S and XK RS. Namely a 5.0-litre V8 that pumps 550 horsepower and 502 lbs.-ft. of torque.

This spectacular sport sedan takes just 4.5 seconds to race from 0 to 100 km/h.
