Rinspeed microMAX: Public transit in miniature

Rinspeed, the Swiss creative think-tank, is a household name at the Geneva Motor Show. And at this year’s event, the company will be introducing the microMAX concept.

This minibus of sorts is roughly the same size as a Mazda2. It was designed to meet public transit needs in urban settings.

A Multi-purpose Machine

With separate cabins, this vehicle could easily be used as a taxi. Up front, there’s nothing but the driver’s seat, with the rest of the space being dedicated to cargo. In back, there are three “luxury” upright seats designed for short-distance transfers.

With an undivided cabin, the Rinspeed microMAX can easily be used as a mobile office, shuttle car or delivery vehicle.

Environmentally friendly transport

While its technical specs haven’t been made public yet, we do know that this petite city vehicle will run on electric power only.
