BMW ActiveHybrid3: Faster than a 335i!

If you've been desperately wanting that new BMW 335i sedan, but aren't willing to leave quite that large of a carbon footprint, you can finally rest easy because your car has arrived: the BMW ActiveHybrid3.

Combining BMW's two-mode ActiveHybrid technology with the firm's now legendary 3.0 litre twin-turbo inline six, the new ActiveHybrid3 promises to deliver 340 horsepower (40 more than the standard 335i), 332 foot-pounds of torque (32 more than the standard 335i), and a 0-100 kph time of 5.3 seconds (0.2 seconds less than the standard 335i)... and promises to do it all while returning superior fuel economy.

Using 96 lithium ion cells to power the electric side of the car's powerplant, the ActiveHybrid3 will be able to travel at speeds of up to 74 kph on electric power alone, and utilizes a 50 horsepower electric motor driving through an eight speed transmission to do so. And of course, just so no one mistakes you for just another BMW driving enthusiast, each one will come with enough ActiveHybrid badging to ensure that both Greenpeace and Al Gore are satisfied. Little do they know it's not only greener, but faster too!
