Hyundai Genesis Coupe to Maintain Power Levels Regardless of Sedan’s Newfound Power

It’s hard to draw any sort of parallel between the Hyundai Genesis coupe and sedan. Looking nothing alike and targeting two entirely different markets, it’s surprising that they even share the same nameplate.
But they do, and that had some people wondering what 2012 would bring for the Genesis coupe after recent announcements were made about the increased power outputs for the 2012 Genesis sedan. Citing the 43-horsepower and 27 pound-feet of torque increases that the 3.8L V6-powered sedan received, Hyundai faithful were curious to see if the little coupe would also be available with the now 333-horsepower, 291-ft. lb. V6.
The answer, according to Hyundai? Apparently not.
