Kenzie:Texting and Walking
In the last couple of years, car crashes are up 7.3% in Canada, according to Allstate Canada Safe Driving Study.
Also pedestrian deaths are up in cities, including Toronto, which has seen a 10 year high in pedestrian fatalities.
The city is going to try and make things safer for pedestrians & cyclists, to the tune of about $68 million.
This could include, no right turn on a red light, I assume to protect the pedestrian who wants to cross on a red.
Why are car crashes and pedestrian deaths on the rise?
As you would expect Jim Kenzie has the answer.
