Motoring TV 2016 Truck of the Year
To determine Motoring TV's 2016 Truck of the Year, Howard Elmer says it's important to first look back to 2015.
When the aluminum-bodied Ford F-150 was introduced last year, many in the automotive industry saw it cleaning up when it came to awards season.
"Yet GM jumped back into the midsize category and brought out something that people were saying was 'right-sized,'" Howard says.
Not only have sales of the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado proven that to be true, but so did the host of awards the twin trucks won, including Motoring TV's 2015 Truck of the Year.
Well GM was at it again this year, introducing diesel-powered versions of the Canyon and Colorado that make them unique in the North American market.
And it's for that reason that the Chevrolet Colorado Diesel and GMC Canyon Diesel have yet again claimed Truck of the Year honours.
