Kenzie's Korner: Eliminate daytime running lights

Jim Kenzie has an idea that will save automakers a ton of money: Eliminate the headlight switch.

That's right—get rid of it altogether.

Having options like daytime running lights, which only illuminate the headlights, is pointless, he says.

"There is no reason for a headlight switch in a car," Jim surmises. "When your is on your lights are on, front and back; when your car is off the lights go off—it's simple."
