Kenzie's Korner: Emissions programs are pointless

Emissions programs are pointless.

Or, as Jim Kenzie likes to call them, "12 per cent solutions."

Environment Canada claims the emissions output of cars and light trucks in the country equates to 12 per cent of the greenhouse gas emissions.

That still leaves 88 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions if all passenger vehicles and light trucks were powered by sources other than fossil fuels.

So when British Columbia dropped its AirCare program, Jim was first in line to offer his congratulations.
