Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the bolts for the transmission crossmember may be missing or may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the transmission could move and cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the transmission crossmember for any loose or missing bolts. The dealer will replace the bolts or the crossmember, as necessary. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
