Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong bolt may have been used to attach the lower steering shaft to the steering gear. As a result, the connection could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the lower steering shaft bolt.
