Issue: On one plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicle, the 12 V battery isolator post may not have been installed properly. As a result, there could be a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to modify the 12 V isolator post. FCA Canada advises that the vehicle should be parked outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repair has been completed.
