Recalls

Issue: On certain vehicles, the fabric for the passenger-front knee airbag may not have been stitched properly.

As a result, the passenger-front knee airbag may not inflate properly in a crash.

Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't inflate properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front knee airbag.

BMW recommends not to transport a person in the front-passenger seat until the recall repairs have been completed.
