Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver may not be able to control the windshield defrosting/defogging system and/or hazard lights using the interaction bar on the dashboard.

Additionally, the control buttons may not light up when pressed.

Safety Risk: A windshield that can't be defogged or defrosted can reduce visibility.

Hazard lights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible.

Both could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the interaction bar.
