Issue: On certain vehicles, the chain on the spare tire carrier could break.

If this happens, the spare tire could fall from the vehicle.

Safety Risk: A spare tire that detaches from a vehicle could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the spare tire carrier assembly.
