Issue: On certain vehicles, water could leak into the electrical connections in the driver's footwell.

This could cause problems with various electric systems (like the power windows or power seat) and the wiring harness could short circuit.

Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.

Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the dash side wiring harness.

If necessary, they will replace the harness connector.

The dealership will also apply grease to the connector to prevent water intrusion.

Nissan advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
