Issue: On certain vehicles, there may be a software problem with the Telematics Control Unit (TCU).

As a result, the vehicle location may not be provided when an emergency call is made.

Safety Risk: If the vehicle location is not provided when an emergency call is made, there could be a delay in the response from emergency services.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected vehicles have been delivered to owners.

BMW will instruct dealers to update the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) before each vehicle is delivered.
