Issue: On certain Ioniq EV models, the vehicle could accelerate after the accelerator pedal is released.

Note: This problem can only happen under certain conditions after the vehicle enters "fail-safe" mode.

Safety Risk: A vehicle that continues to accelerate could create the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you bring your vehicle to a dealer to update the electric power control unit (EPCU) software.

The dealer will also add additional ground wiring between the drive motor/gear assembly and frame.
