Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake pipe nut at the right-front wheel well may not have been properly tightened.

As a result, the nut could loosen and create a brake fluid leak.

If this happens, there could be a partial loss of braking and the brake warning lamp may turn on.

Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, tighten the right-front brake pipe nut.
