Issue: This recall affects a small number of vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels that were repaired with an incorrect driveshaft torsional damper service kit.

As a result, there may not be enough clearance for the parking brake cable, and it could become damaged.

If this happens, you may not be able to set the parking brake, and the vehicle could roll away.

Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that moves unexpectedly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash.

Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the passenger side parking brake cable with one that provides clearance to the driveshaft torsional damper shield.
