Issue: On certain vehicles, a support for the roof liner could detach when the head air bag inflates in a crash.

If this happens, the support could hit a passenger.

Safety Risk: A roof liner support that hits a passenger could create a risk of injury.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected vehicles have been sold to retail customers.

BMW will instruct dealers to inspect the roof liner and repair or replace it, before each vehicle is sold.
