Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the adaptive cruise control (ACC) system to not work correctly. As a result, in a situation where the ACC attempts to stop the vehicle, and the driver presses the accelerator pedal, the ACC system may not release the brakes. The ACC system may then release the brakes unexpectedly. Safety Risk: An adaptive cruise control system that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: None of the affected vehicles have been sold to retail customers. Mitsubishi will instruct dealers to update the Advanced Driver Assistance System ECU software before each vehicle is sold. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
