Issue: On certain vehicles, the power liftgate may partially lower from the fully open position when the vehicle is parked facing uphill on a slope. The liftgate will not lower all the way to the closed position. Safety risk: A liftgate that partially lowers suddenly could create a risk of injury. Corrective action: Mazda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the power liftgate software. The dealer will also inspect the liftgate drive units and replace them, if necessary. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
