This equipment recall is for replacement parts that were sold or installed by Ford dealerships between October 2019 and August 2020.

This recall is not being conducted under the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Issue: On certain cars, the brake pedal and bracket assembly could fracture if rapid and forceful pressure is applied to the brake pedal, as typically seen during track and competition driving.

If this happens, there could be a loss of braking.

Note: This equipment recall only affects the following brake pedal and bracket assembly part numbers: FR3Z-2455-AA FR3Z-2455-AB Safety Risk: A loss of brakes can create the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Ford will notify its dealers of this recall.

While dealers will attempt to contact people who may have purchased a part affected by this recall, if you have had the brake pedal and bracket assembly replaced on your car, you should contact the dealer that sold or installed it to find out if it is affected by this recall.

Any part that is affected by this recall will be replaced, free of charge.
