Issue: On certain vehicles, the driveshaft could break. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. A driveshaft that separates could also damage the fuel tank and cause a fuel leak. Additionally, the vehicle could move when the transmission is in Park, and the parking brake is not used. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.0 L or 3.3 L engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the driveshaft label. Dealers will replace the driveshaft, if needed.
