Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the circuit board for the Electric Motor Electronics (EME) module could cause the high-voltage electrical power to shut off. This would result in a loss of power to the drive motor. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of motor power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the Electric Motor Electronics module.
