On certain vehicles, the backrest adjustment mechanism (recliner) of the front seats may not have been welded correctly during the manufacturing process. As a result, the welds could crack and lead to a failure of the latch mechanism. This could cause the seats to fold forward or rearward in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupants. Correction: Dealers will replace the backrest frame of the front seats. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
