On certain vehicles, the bond between the carbon-fiber driveshaft and the engine/transmission flange might not have been manufactured to specification. This could result in the driveshaft potentially separating from the flange, causing a loss of traction between the engine and transmission which could cause a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the carbon-fiber driveshaft, and replace if necessary. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
