On certain vehicles, the screws holding the seatbelt retractor’s retaining plate may not have been properly tightened. In the event of a crash, this could cause the retaining plate to break and come in contact with the occupants of the vehicle, which would increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the seatbelt assembly as necessary. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
