On certain vehicles, the hardware that secures the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear may have been incorrectly assembled and could loosen. Should the intermediate steering shaft detach from the steering gear a loss of steering control would occur. This could result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, correct the assembly. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
