On certain Passat and Passat wagon, a vacuum line may fracture and become disconnected at low ambient temperatures. If this happens, brake power assist could become inoperative. As a result, the driver would experience increased effort to apply the brakes and therefore possible increased vehicle stopping distance. This could lead to a crash without warning. Correction: Dealers will install a re-designed vacuum line. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
