On certain vehicles, the starter wiring harness may have been routed incorrectly and could chafe. Over time, such chafing could wear through the protective sleeve and cause an electrical short. This condition, if not addressed, may cause a vehicle fire, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and reroute the starter wiring harness.
